Description:DALeast is famed for his skillful use of paint as he draws what appear to be thousands upon thousands of metal shards that beautifully come together to form seemingly living shapes of animals and humans. Poetry with powerful features and infinite softness in nuanced tints. While the dining room is strewn with hanging light bulbs and paper lanterns creating a warm, inviting space, the focal point and most interactive Instagrammable design element is a multi-neon-coloured Tuk Tuk from Thailand in the centre of the restaurant. Haroshi creates these extraordinary sculptures through a careful process consisting of several steps. Searching online, in social media, and on the city streets of many of the central city neighborhoods, it is quickly apparent that the street art and graffiti art is mainly concentrated in one neighborhood, Sheung Wan. From the glittering and colorful temples of Hong Kong and Bangkok, to the intricately carved ruins of the city of Angkor Wat, it is easy to see the long history and value artistic expression holds; it is intricately woven into everyday life, past and present.
